Dr. Matthew Young is a native of upper East Tennessee and is the son of Victor and Linda Young. Dr. Young has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, Master of Divinity all from Luther Rice University and a Doctorate of Ministry from Grace Theological Seminary. He has been in full time ministry for over 10 years and is the senior pastor at the church. He has been married to his bride Brandi “Boyd” Young for fifteen years and has two children. Dr. Young has written two books “Virtual Missionaries,” and “Life Debt,” which is available for purchase on this website. Dr. Young was also an instructor at Fountain Bible Institute where he taught, Spiritual Maturity, Old and New Testament Survey. He also has his phlebotomy certification and has worked extensively in hemodialysis and with special needs adults and children. He is also the founder of “American Pride and Heritage” Facebook page, where he reaches several million people and has over 20,000 followers. In addition to his duties at the church Dr. Young works as a Chaplain at the Johnson City Police Dept.
His goal is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever he goes and to utilize the tools before us, like social networking sites, in order to bring the Gospel before a larger audience in an effort to adhere to the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
